Halal kitchen, alcohol free — on Cyrville Road since 2009

On Cyrville Road since 2009

The Persian and Afghan kabob house repertoire, over charcoal: koobideh and barg, the stews that need a morning to come together, and silk bread out of the oven.

A halal kitchen, alcohol free — and every stew has a vegetarian version, which is rarer here than it should be.

The kitchen

  • Halal, alcohol free

No alcohol is served or cooked with, anywhere in the kitchen.

  • Every stew, vegetarian

Ghormeh sabzi, gheimeh and fesenjoon are all made without meat as well.

  • Since 2009

The same room, the same grill, for over fifteen years.

Questions

What is soltani?

One skewer of barg — filet mignon — and one of koobideh, on the same plate. It is the order for someone who cannot choose.

Is there anything for vegans?

Yes — the gheimeh, ghormeh sabzi and fesenjoon are all made in vegan versions with soya protein or walnut, not only vegetarian ones.

What comes with a kabob?

Basmati rice, a grilled tomato and silk bread.
