A Canadian company building the network our own families needed — and kept needing long after the first year was over.
It started with settlement. It did not stay there.
Budi began as a settlement companion, because that is the need that shouts loudest: the paperwork, the health card, the school registration, the loneliness of a first winter. We built it because we had lived it. Then the people using it started asking for things a settlement app has no business doing. A butcher wanted a shop, in Arabic, that a family could find on a Friday. A student union wanted to sell tickets to an iftar and check people in at the door. A woman with a microphone and forty years of stories wanted a podcast her mother could subscribe to from home. An association with chapters in four cities wanted to stop running itself out of a group chat. So Budi became what it should have been from the start: not an app for arriving, but a network for belonging. Settlement is still here, still free, and still the first thing many people meet. It is no longer the only thing.
Building AI platforms for the communities that get built for last
Budi is made by NeuroBazar.ai, a Canadian technology company. Most software reaches these communities as a translation of something designed for someone else — the words change and the assumptions do not. We build the other way round: start from how a community actually works, and let the software take that shape. Budi is the first and largest of these.
Four commitments, stated plainly enough that you can hold us to them.
Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Urdu, Pashto, Dari, Somali and English — written right to left where that is how it is written, and not as a translation layer bolted onto an English product.
Every recommendation can tell you why it was made. A system you cannot question is a system you cannot correct.
We follow PIPEDA and CCPA, never sell personal information, and never let anyone target you by age or gender — not even a paying advertiser.
Nothing here is designed to keep you scrolling. A good day on Budi is one where you got something done and left.
Joining is free, and nothing here asks for a card to start.
